NWZDT Information and Contacts
The North West Zambia Development Trust is a charitable Trust registered in Zambia. It was formed to promote social, health and economic development in the North Western Province of Zambia. It is seeking to assist Kalene Mission Hospital in its provision of health care as well as promoting social and economic development of the local area.
Kalene Hospital Board and other mission institutions did not wish to become involved in a power scheme as it would divert them away from their primary roles. Consequently, the NWZDT was formed to fulfil this role and to act as a vehicle for the further development of this province of Zambia. The Trust seeks to set up a hydro electric scheme to provide affordable, sustainable power to Kalene Mission Hospital and the local schools, clinics and orphanage.
The Zambezi Rapids Hydro-Electric Scheme has only been built through the generous support of people all round the world who have given expertise, materials, and money. If you can help the inspiring work of NWZDT in any way, please see below:
